I have heard a few people mention keys.

Am I missing something here? I have my full set of keys - in hand. The passenger side will not open with the key when the inside door handle is pressed forward - is that correct? Because it sure isn't working for me.
Thank you!
That’s correct, there are 2 separate locking mechanisms. You need to get to the handle, no slim Jim will do that. If you can’t snag that handle with a coat hanger/wire, take the hinge pins out. If both fail, take the rear window out.
Grabbing at straws here, but I wonder if you could push the master cylinder access hole rubber out, push the rubber floor mat push pin out and get at the drivers side handle with something?

I did think of that as well. The brake pedal goes straight through the floor and a dowel may work through the hole - if I could lift the truck enough to get a 5' dowel under it.
Today will be door pins and then back window. My weatherstrip is all new(ish) and the quarter windows work perfectly. I don't want to mess with that.
I will let you know. Thank you all for taking the time to try and help me. I really appreciate it.
Does anyone have any good ideas on how to prevent the passenger door handle from being pushed forward from the inside?

AFAIK the door handle on the inside should be locked if the handle is basically level with the ground (horizontal) such that you have to pull the inside door handle up to lock the door from the inside. It sounds like you have the door opening handle close to vertical, thus the problem.
That does make sense. Moving it will be simple. I still have to be very careful though because I have another vintage car were pushing the door handle forwards is the standard locking procedure. This is where I made the mistake to begin with - I did it by habit without thinking. Great idea though.

Good luck on getting into it. Sorry for my post, i was working from my cell at the time in a spotty area and was working mainly off your OP where you said you were locked out and there was no mention of having keys in hand.

Same. I thought he just locked his keys n the truck.
Back window was harder than I thought it would be to take out, but overall it was pretty easy. The gasket is so small, I thought it would just pop out easily.
