Good news bad news....figured out that the steering lock also worked my passenger door lock! Got the drivers internal forward lock working with a little pen oil!
Bad news was I got my passenger key lock to turn and lock but now it wont unlock.☹️
Dont want to break the key...was going to ask how to pull the passenger door lock to get it re-keyed...but then what happened to my steering lock(third key I guess.
so my new question...How do I pull my passenger door lock cylinder above the handle?
Yes but I can still open and close it from the inside through the drivers door...just not sure why I could lock it with the key but now can't unlock it.
Lube the lock up well and work the key repeatedly in and out and wiggle it around while trying to unlock it. Most likely one or more pins inside the lock are sticking inside the tumbler. Doing this may allow them to break free so the lock will turn.
Simply remove the retaining screw and pull the entire lock assembly out. Anti seize compound on that screw when reinstalling it is a good idea.
Gotter! Thank you guys are AWSOME!
glad I found this site!
got the key made for it today works the column, the door and fixed the driver side so I'm good to go with security now.😊
