1932 AAB Deuce, Dually, Dump
Chris, it was a pleasure to meet you today. The ragged old 32 sure looks awesome, and to find out it was our neighbors, very cool. Sitting around the dinner table tonight we all said we really enjoyed touring your place. Especially trying the almost syrup, then the finished syrup was a great comparison. Thanks for being a part of the tour, we know it is a hectic and busy endeavor.
Ken,
Was wonderful to meet you. Sorry it was so busy we didnt have time to chat much! The 32 got some looks during the maple tour! Glad you had fun, and thank you for braving the VERY cold blizzard conditions to come visit with us in the sugarhouse and the shop. I had a great time!

Chris

Wayne, Folks,
Yea It hadn't bothered me till then! Have all the steering parts off the truck. Some NOS parts like spindles and pitman arm. And new parts for in the joints. Steel on steel there was about .050 inch wear on the worst ball.
Should have it back together later this week. The weather is getting nicer so more test drives will be required too! Getting the business name painted on the side boards.

Chris

Ken,
Thank you for the video from your Ford loving son! That would be a BB truck or could be like mine a AAB numbered truck? Looks a lot like my friend Nates in Bowling Green KY.
Here is a shot of mine recently. Getting ready to pull the engine and put in a better one that I am assembling.
The wife and I did haul the ragged old truck to Franklin Tennesee to the Eastern National V8 club meet early June.

Chris

Folks,
Havent been on here for a while this summer/ fall. We did a upgrade on the house and attached garage. New sheeting on some places, house wrap, all new windows, then vynil to match the shop and a "stacked stone" vinyl around the bottom and front of garage. That consumed most of my time.
We also did a couple parades and local fair too Grandson Mike driving and great granddaughter Chloe with me in the truck:

Albion area Fair:

I did take some breaks to take the ragged ol truck to several local car shows where it was pretty well recieved. Seems some folks appreciate them in there work cloths. Also it is unique enough that it attracks attention too.
I was able to begin the engine assembly work on the new rebuilt short block. Untill the rod bearings were too tight and it had to go back to the machine shop for tuning. When I got it back it was good to turn over. Pulled the old engine and began to swap the components to the new block.
A couple weeks ago My friend John and I stabbed the new engine into the 32 and I have begun the break in. Everything seems better. A lot more power on the road for sure!
First assembly where rod bearings were too snug:

Old engine comes out:

Me and the model "B" engine almost done:

While the engine was out we repaired the vent hinge:

Ford Folks,
As mentioned most of my forum time is spent over on the Ford Barn. But I check in here from time to time.
The 32 dump has been getting some miles for break in of the new engine.
Trip for lunch down the road with grandson Mike driving;

At the post office:

Have about 60 miles on it. Working on the speedometer and the fuel gauge system at the moment. Also trying to get new windlacing and kick panels in place. Along with finding some in the cab rust that needed repairs.

Folks,
Been a while. The 32 dump truck is working well. probably around 1000 miles on it this summer. Time to change oil and get it put away for winter.
Hope things are good in Ford Land!

Ford truck folks,
I had some serious problems getting pictures uploaded and stored then copied for forums. That all changed with our son Adam helping update our out of date home router to a wireless version!
Here are some recent pictures:
Adam and I went out for a nice ride in the 32:

walk around shots:

Ford Folks,
The Radiator caps on these 1932 trucks are hard to find.
I realized this gas cap for our Allis Chalmers CA fit and is a pretty good match. Similar patina as the 32 but a tad smaller.

Off topic:
The shop has a new antique. Cheryl bought me this for a Christmas present. Still in the Ford family, a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente. 289 with a C4 Auto.
We are working the bugs out of the Comet. Several drives since the roads have been good.
