Your truck is beautiful. Does the dump operate? I think we need to see a video of that happening.

52 Merc, Folks,
Yes the dump works. I have had it up and down a couple times. I just hooked the power take off shaft up when we stabbed the engine and transmission in. It makes some noise, as the U joints are probably in bad shape. Haven't checked the oil in the pump / cylinder either. I do have a video on the first day we started the truck. This link might be the one?
Regards,
Chris

Chris, I just stumbled upon your thread. Congrats on finding a Ford truck! But it looks like you have room in your new shed for a 56!
Post over in the 48-56 forum to let other guys know what you have,

abe, white 66,
Thanks this Old Ford truck has kept me out of trouble this summer. Just worked on it while I was resting. Still things to do. Have a pesky oil leak I am chasing on the rear. Going to try some thicker 40wt oil to see if that may help. Thrust may be worn in this engine?? Something I did not check when I put it together. I wanted to get it moving and this engine has done that for sure. Lot of Looks Lots of smiles!
Regards,
Chris

That a fun photo. I'm guessing you were going 25 to 30 tops. Funny how fast it feels to drive the old trucks on dirt roads.
