Thanks. I am sure I will get a replacement if the original one is not found, but I have no patience, and the waiting is killing me. Didn't know it got that hot in Washington.
Yeah, I plan on getting the shipping costs refunded. I paid for next day air, and didn't get it. Also paid for a signature to be required. Although technically, it was signed for, or at least the UPS driver stated it was. And I agree, it is a big temptation for anyone, even full time employees of the brown truck shipping company. it may have been a sub contracted person, I don't know, even when packages are actually delivered, all they do is knock and walk away. Never get a chance to say thank you or anything. Now that I have my shipments going to a business I doubt I will have this problem again, of course that doesn't help this situation.
Have you knocked on The Asian Guy's door? If he comes to the door wearing a Billie Eilish shirt, and a LOL Doll sticking out of his pocket, he has your computer. Don't try to be polite. Push him aside, barge into his apartment, and start searching. He has it. If nothing else, rip that shirt off his back and give it back to your granddaughter.
I have already talked to the Asian guy, and he was not even home when the package was signed for. As for the shirt and LOL doll, Amazon replaced them free of charge. Newegg will replace the laptop too once they find out that UPS actually did deliver to the wrong address, and that I am not trying to scam a free laptop.

It’s actually cooled down this evening up here at the head of the Sacramento Valley. The down side is that I’m seeing thunderheads all around and it’s rather windy.
I’ve been spending the week camped out at our District’s Cub Scout Day Camp site acting as security along with being an area lead during the day. Boy I appreciate having AC at home since I’ve been out here with the travel trailer and no available electrical hook-ups.
It has been a great week, especially having the youth enjoying themselves and exploring different activities like Woodcraft, First Aid, Archery, and other skill stations.

A lot different in The Inner City. Growing up in Chinatown, I had never even heard of Scouting. We had to learn a different skill set more inline with living in The City. We were "street wise". Same idea. You use different techniques to start a fire; we had gasoline & a disposable lighter. You teach kids to shoot a .22 rifle; we learned to shoot, and duck when shots are fired. All joking aside, I always thought that there should be an urban version of scouting. Street survival skills. Learning bus routes. Learning to be aware of your environment. Learning how to look both ways before crossing, instead of just walking out into the street while looking at your cellphone. Maybe phrases in different languages, for when you go to different neighborhoods. Cross cultural exposure - so when today's kids grow into tomorrow's adults, they won't harbor the division of generations past. Urban Scouts could perform all sorts of community service - traffic control, safety patrols, senior meal delivery, homeless outreach, et cetera.
Strange cravings in the middle of the night. I want oxtail, and a bowl of ramen. Weird that I never crave a salad. Maybe I'm pregnant. Bruce Jenner became a woman after the age of 60. I could be a pregnant man.
There are people everywhere collecting signatures to recall The City's District Attorney, and 3 members of The School Board. While I am no fan of any of those people, and I personally believe that they should not be in office......I'm against recalls and impeachments. They cost money. It cost money to hold special elections. I believe that we already have mechanisms in place for elected officials who do a bad job. It's called "the next election". A democracy is by majority decision. Enough people, a majority, voted those people in. The minority who did not elect them, can't simply make more noise after the fact and demand a recall or impeachment. The elected person is elected to a specified term, which they should serve out. If they do anything illegal, we can arrest them. If they are so bad at their job, the people will vote them out at the next election. And it's with much restraint, that I don't go to the next school board meeting, with a baseball bat. I didn't get to storm The Capitol. I may storm The Board of Education.
I don't believe in recalls and impeachments. Sore losers making noise after losing an election.
They were elected by a majority of people who did not agree with me. We have a majority rules democracy. If they are doing anything illegal, we arrest them. Otherwise, we try to elect someone else at the next election.
I don't believe in term limits either. We have terms. If someone does a good job, we should be able to keep them in office. If they do a bad job, we elect someone else. If they are doing such a good job, that they deserve to be in office, we should be able to keep reelecting them back into that office. Members of Congress sit there for decades. The Supreme Court is lifetime. Why shouldn't we be able to reelect a good president into a 3rd, 4th, or 5th term? Other world leaders...... How much can any 1 person hope to accomplish in just 4 years or 8 years?
