Not every time, but enough to make me mad. Especially when it is a $1,380 mistake. It is interesting though, that the free gift that comes with it (backpack) arrived yesterday, even though they said it would not arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday. So how is it that UPS can deliver that package, but not the expensive one? Either way, I have filed a claim with Newegg, and UPS, so eventually I will either get my money back, or another laptop. However, if they do approve the claim and send me another one, I want to know how they will guarantee it will actually get to me this time. I have dealt with Newegg before and never had an issue. The problem is with the lazy UPS drivers, who don't bother to check building addresses. Maybe Newegg will let me drive down there and pick it up from their warehouse? They are located in the city of Industry.
I'm betting package thieves got your laptop. They can smell expensive packages a mile away.
Happy Pappy Day to all you fathers.
and this year Pappy Day is on the summer solstice.
We went to Princeton to get fish & chips at Hazel's but there must have been 150 people waiting in line. The HMB Brewing across the street was equally jamb-packed. So we turned around & got Philly cheese steaks at Jersey Joe's in HMB. Then we went down to San Gregorio for a little beach/cliff time. Outside temp was 64! Yay!
90 degrees right now at 10pm.
Interesting that you mention that Modoc. I just came from the UPS My Choice website, where I switched my package delivery preference to the closest UPS access point, which is at a CVS pharmacy a mile west of me on the same street. I am thinking for small stuff like cables or what not, it will be a hassle, but for the laptop delivery, at least I know it will be delivered. if the UPS driver can't find his own access point, he needs to quit his job. I wish I would have found out this little tidbit of info before I bought the laptop. However, when they do send a replacement, I know it will be there for me to pick up. Too bad Amazon doesn't use them. UPS still states they are looking for the package but since it is Sunday, I am sure no progress will be made until tomorrow. I'm guessing Newegg is just waiting on UPS's findings.
I could lose money commuting from San Jose. Once I factor in rush hour traffic, and time lost. 1 hour trip is 90 minutes in traffic. 3 hours of my time in "overtime" is 60 hours a month. Lost. 60 hours X time and a half, is more than half of my months wages.
If I have more time than money, then I might as well be in jail.
