I came across "dash caps" on NPD - from the pix it's hard to tell how exactly it'd work... is it basically something that snaps on top of an existing dash pad? Kinda like a tupperware lid?
I believe it is essentially a plastic “cap” that is glued down on whatever you have now. My truck has one and to the discerning eye you can tell, but I'd guess most people that aren't like us would never know. I'd like to replace mine but being green, and having to buy another color, try the PEM dye and hope for the best, is an expensive experiment.

Right. I am green as well - hatteras green! I am debating on whether I want to bite the bullet and try the green from coverlay, or go with generic black... :\
hear is the plastic dash cover,Im ok with it,my cover was blue ,I needed black (LMC)
Is the top surface soft-touch or hard-touch? How does it install? I see it has a stud and a nut so it looks to replace the OEM one, somehow? Sorry if that sounds silly - still trying to wrap my head around it.
ok ,its a hard plastic shell over top your some what soft cover. It comes with silicone addhesive, and you can add to it with your best silicone addhesive. That bolt is the existing cover under carriage. Its ok ,looks good, saves you coin ....it will probably be fine here is a pic of just installed Plus the dents are not like the Bumps with the overly cussion look
