I didn't see a forum for interior trim so I am posting here. I have a 78 F150 ranger 4X4. I need a new dash pad. The problem I am having is mine is Jade (green). I have looked at the sponsors on the site and none of them have replacement pads in this color. they all have black, brown, red, blue but no green. Was Jade not a common color? I have seen several galleries and posted pictures of other green 78/79 with green interiors. Does any know of a source?
I have found a couple green ones in the yards. I have to go to the junkyards out in the middle of no where to find the old trucks. I think if you go new, you will most likely have to paint because they sell the common colors only. Also check out ebay they come up every now and then.

You could paint a brown one with a SEM brand vinyl paint from Eastwood. They will have a paint close to match, mine did. Mine is going on 3 years old and still looks good, been garage kept tho, dont know about a lot of UV rays exposure on painted vinyl, always repaint I guess. Use their cleaner too, for best adhesion, and be sure its clean. Put on light coats till the color is the way you want it.

I feel your pain, my Jade green F-250 was beat by the AZ sun for 25 years before I got it, most of the interior is faded, or cracked. Not a single aftermarket Jade green part to be found besides carpet (Jeff's Bronco Graveyard) and the hard plastic dash cover up from Dennis Carpenter.
I never have any luck in the salvage yards so I just scanned ebay for green stuff, it is on there fairly consistantly. Found a nice green dash pad and xlt door panels in good shape about a month ago. Just keep looking if you really want to stay green!
I'm sure it would defeat the purpose of getting good parts cheap, but one day I'd like to just take a road trip up the middle of this country and stop at every salvage yard in range, and absolutely LOAD UP on F-150 parts...my local yards have a fair representation of those trucks, but I've pretty much picked the useful bits clean (including a $20 dashpad, I got lucky there).
Definitely check out your local salvage yards, I've heard of some unbelievable finds on this board!
