I have a set of I-beams out of a 77 f150. I know that I can swap out the complete set with my 67 f100 in order to have disc breaks, but I was wondering if any one has just swapped out the spindles, calipers, rotors, ect. The reason I'm asking is the I-beams and radius arms in my 67 are a lot cleaner and rust free compared to the 77s. I was going to order a new king pin set and go from there. What year king pins would I order 67-77or does it matter?
Thanks Joe.
According to the chart it looks like I need to swap everything. If I just swapped spindles I would have to have my 67 I-beams machined / reamed out a little.
I picked up 5 gallons of evapo rust, a stick of 6” pvc and caps from Lowe’s to submerge the I beams in, of course the spindles too. Everything turned out great. Just a thought….
So I came across this from CPP just wondering if anyone has used or know someone who has used this kit? I know the base kit from MP is about $1350 and this one is about $700. I thought that MP were the only ones that made disc kits for 65-72.
Not sure about the kit from classic performance.
Here is an option that worked out for me, Good information here. https://w.fordification.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86405
I have this type of set up on my 68 F 100 for four years now. It all bolts on to your existing spindles. Worked out well for me.
I did how ever add an adjustable proportioning valve to my rear brake line.

LACzar thanks this would allow me to use my stock spindles seams like that would be the easiest route so far. Then i'll need to find a brake booster and master cylinder kit with proportioning valve.

That link was for a 1970 F100, but they also have the conversion for the 1967. _ Tony.
