1994 460 AIR pump

1994 F250 7.5L, i know this is a popular topic but I can't seem to get an answer on which holes I need to plug while removing the Air Injection system. I have a new Banks exhaust with headers and removing the CAT so I will be removing the air pump as its just ugly and not needed. I haven't traced the lines out yet, figured I'd get as much info as I could first. So, which ports/holes will need plugged? Are they on the heads or headers? Thanks

There won't be any holes to plug, the air tube connects to the exhaust manifolds on that motor.

But if im replacing the manifold with headers, wouldn't there be provisions for the air pump on the new headers that would need to be "plugged"? Sorry, i can be a little slow at times lol

OK. .have you purchased the headers yet? Some of them are emissions compliant and have all the emissions fittings but others aren't.

I do have the new headers. Its a Banks system. There are 2 "ports" on driver side header that is 3/4" and one on the passenger side that is a flange

EGR is on the drivers side and that should remain, the other two parts would be for the air injection so they can be plugged. Did the kit come woth any plugs or blockoff plates?

Not that I saw. Just header bolts. Once I get home I will take a picture for clarification. There is a small (maybe 3/8") line connected to all 4 exhaust runners on each header, that would be for the EGR then? The single bung coming directly off the driver side header only would be the air pump port?

No it's the other way around, the manifold setup of small tubes is for air injection, the single threaded bung on the drivers #8 header is for the EGR tube.

If you have any other questions let me know, and I'll try to answer them. Did you get headers, and exhaust, or just headers. I did headers and exhaust. Added a magna flow universal catalytic converter, as outlined in the write up.
You can also pm me if needed.

I got the full exhaust from banks performance. Headers, muffler, everything. I plan on removing the CAT as well. I appreciate the info and the link! These forums are great lol
