Program your Isspro EV2 gauges - Attribute programming cable share
A while back, after installing 2 Isspro gauges in my truck, I noticed the backlight brightness was not even between the two. @SkySkiJason graciously sent an attribute programming cable to me. That cable, and some downloaded software from Isspro, allowed me to dial the brightness in. This is the 'before' shot:
Details on how to do this in post #341 of my maintenance thread:
If you have EV2 gauges, and would like to program backlight levels and alarms, PM me your address, and I'll sent it to you. Rather than return the cable to him, Jason suggested we make it available to those who could use it. We can track where the cable is in this thread, and post any questions related to it's use.
This is a great idea. We might also want to share settings used to make the EV2's match the dash lights, as I found the correct setting non-intuitive. Setting "Dimmer Max" to 80, from the default of 18, did the trick for me, and now it matches without flickering.

I agree, Mark. I tried 20, then went with 40 for "Dimmer Max" and probably could have gone a bit higher on this number. A higher number to dim the gauge more seems non-intuitive to me as well.

Temporarily, for now I wired my Isspro yellow wire directly to the illumination fuse.
I have noticed no dimming or very bright gauges. Seems to be perfect light output..
But, I don't like tying into fuses for juice so following thread.
BTW, there is NO literature from Isspro on how to tweak their Iv2 gouges. I am curious on how to do that.

I tap the brown wire behind headlight switch for 12v with running lights/headlights. It doesn’t hurt to add one of the 1 amp fuses from the gauge kits here.
Tweaking is done via this attribute programmer cable and software on your PC. You can set alarm limits and change the brightness of gauges.
These programming cables should come with the "kit" when you order from your vendor. I no longer sell anything but when I did all my Isspro kits came with the programmer.

Are vendors not including this?
I can confirm that vendors arent including this. They offered to program it for me if I covered shipping.

many year ago when I did mine I got the cable with the gauges. I think I bought them from Clay at Riffraff.
I had totally forgot about the cable until I read this thread. I am sure I put it somewhere safe.
I had no clue this was a thing. Does this mean I can program the red led on my EGT guage to turn on at a preset reading?
I always wondered about that light that proves out when I switch on the ignition...

As a vendor I can tell you the kits we sell direct from Isspro do come with the cable. There is also instructions on their website for programing + you can call and talk with their engineer if you get stumped.
