You are not alone my friend... My 2021 cap seems like the most stupid design ever, takes two hands or you are just binding up the lanyard.

I'm going to try the silicone spray idea mentioned in this thread. I'm also working on a locking gas cap based on one of the threads here....

+1 here. The lanyard just wraps up with the cap making a PITA. I have some dry film Teflon spray that I'll try today.

you are not alone i have the same cap issue on my 2020 and it takes 2 hands to put it back on i will try the lube idea today have been planning on it already but have been swamped at work
