Crank no start help

I have a 91 f350 with a 460. Engine ran great until I ran out of gas one day. Filled it up, wouldn’t start. Made sure all the fuel lines were clear. I replaced the spark plugs today, no dice. I tried shooting a 3 second shot of starting fluid into the throttle body throats and still get the same minor hiccups but no fire or even short burst of running. I’m at a dead end. Anyone else have an issue like this? What should I do?

If it won't start on starting fluid, then your problem is spark, not fuel delivery. The running out of fuel thing is incidental.

How To Troubleshoot A No Start (Ford 4.9L, 5.0L, 5.8L)

Focus on checking for spark steps since the engine will not start with fluid.
