08 SX2 first and reverse only
Hi all,
I just picked up this FX2 at an auction. I've looked around and used the search but didn't find an answer. It's got the cam phaser problem but I already know the remedy for that. The issue I need help with is the transmission. First gear and reverse work but second and drive are none existent. I drove it home from the auction in first gear. I also checked the fluid level and topped it up. Is this a shift solenoid problem? I haven't come to the dark side before so this is my first Ford since the 80's. I like the truck but I need to know what the problem could be. Do these have shift solenoids and what else could cause the no gears after first? 5.4 Triton automatic.
