Torque Pro Problems

arguuuhhh, went on a trip last week and no trans temp, no ICP, IPR. Only EOT, IAT, volts and EBP still working. Tried deleting the non working ones and re-entering the data but nothing. Used some PIDs I found online-no luck. I did update my OBD-MX firmware recently but did not try TP on the truck after that, everything still works on my Sprinter. Not sure what to do. If I uninstall and reinstall TP do I lose all my custom-extended PIDs etc? Should I give up and try Forscan?

Your last question is exactly what I did a couple of years ago and have never looked back. FSL may not be as pretty as TP, but it is reliable, fast and easy to use.

I removed TP from all of my devices after realizing that FSL is a superior product in every way, except visual appearance.

bigb56, are you using some PIDs that are not available in FORScan? If so, and you like them, I sure understand wanting to see if TP can be configured to work again on your rig. I know Tugly, Pikachu, and others have put a ton of work into this.

I wanted to go this route, and try custom gauges like the EBP - MAP gauge to keep an eye on turbo efficiency, and see air leaks quicker than watching separate EPB, MAP or Boost. But TP would occasionally kill my engine - not good.

Like Sous, I'm biased towards a stable platform - FORScan Lite get's it done.

Your welcome. BWST and several other FTE'rs collected a wealth of information detailing FORScan and FSL in the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder. I have pasted some of the links below for you to have easy access to.

FORScan

Thanks for those links Sous, my plan is to first try Forscan Lite on my Android tablet. After that I may try Forscan for PC on the Windows 10 mini 10" tablet/laptop (detachable keypad) that I bought for using AE on my Sprinter (which turned out to be a disappointment)

Your welcome sir.

I prefer FSL over FORScan, but the PC version has more power to it if that is needed. FSL can monitor gauges, run KOEO/KOER tests, clear/check codes, etc... I find FORScan on the PC a bit cumbersome to use, but it can change speedometer readings and a few other tricks that FSL cannot perform.

I travel with a netbook that has a 10" screen like you have. It stays under the seat on the passenger side. It has the Ford Service Manual and FORScan on it, along with my library of technical and mechanical documents. Just in case...

If you have any questions or concerns about FSL, there are several fellas on here that I would consider experts. But, they/we are still learning...
