Mine idles about 675 hot, it's an e99 4x4 auto w/ 160/30 stock turbo with billet 5+5 running jellibuilt performance tow 99% of the time. Of the tunes I currently have it has the best shift points, the rest short shift and seem to lug unless giving it 1/2+ throttle.
You say your IPR valve came in a box, are you sure on that one? The ones I bought come in a padded foil pouch inside a plastic bag with Motorcraft and Ford emblems plus part number. 3 so far all from Diesel O-rings, about the best price I found from reliable reputable source
btw, i would like to thank you for catching that chirping sound in the video. that would not have made a fun trip if that bearing in the alternator seized on the interstate towing my camper!!
Sure thing. A dozen or so years pumping oil wells and wrenching on their engines has turned me into something of an engine noise savant. It can be a curse when you drive around in a clattering old 7 3 all day everyday

yes, i saved the old one as i had no issues with it. i gave it to a friend who's ipr failed on him. i handed it to him in the box the new one came in. doesn't mean it wasn't a knock off stuffed in a random motocraft box and the reason i mentioned it. i am not opposed to ordering one from diesel o rings and have ordered a number of small parts from them as well as riff raff over the years. i have never had one single complaint about any item, every recieved, from either places! when i have called, both places took the time to speak with me as well.
just ordered one from diesel o rings. we'll give that a try and see if there's any change. there actually pretty simple to change out on my truck. never hurts to have a decent spare also.
Yeah, I don't throw away any of those parts. Never know when one might get you out of a bind. My kid is going to hate me whenever I kick the bucket. If she doesn't try and stick me in a home for being some kind of hoarder first.

Bob at Diesel-O-Rings one of many great resources we have available to us that we are grateful for. We are all hoping this helps you out.
After seeing the substantial differences in your mfdes #'s I remembered I still had some "custom" Gearhead tunes gone wrong that came w/ my hydra. So I loaded 1 up last night out of curiosity and my mfdes cut in half but was fluctuating more. What really threw me though was how sluggish and unresponsive it became. It took almost half throttle just to get off the line and then it felt like someone was riding the brake the whole time. Gave it a short half block wot and it was just sad. I now remember what driving underwater feels like.

i have not had time to do anymore to it but soon enough i will. i can say that the php tunes have a very touchy throttle in all of his tunes. what you described is what my stockish tune feels like from jelibuilt. also what the tow tunes feel like up to a certain rpm then they take off. i do like that feature for taking off with the toyhauler though. when i had dp tunes the throttle was very touchy and with cruise set there was this surge like someone was applying a small amount of throttle and letting off repeatedly. that was very annoying.
