Removing the fender emblems.

Heat gun on low and keep moving over the emblem, warm it.up slightly and then use fishing string between the emblem and body.
on my 2004 I used the heat gun and a set of plastic body tools from harbor freight, I used three pieces of blue painter's tape around the emblem and carefully got the corner up then grabbed it with my fingers and pulled the emblems right off
Then the left over double sided tape I used microfiber cloth and citrus label remover fluid.

The purpose of the holes is because FORD is smart, and force you to leave on the emblems.
In reality the holes make for quick alignment on the assembly line would be my guess.
SuperDutyScaler, what did you do to cover up the holes??
