some bas#*rd the other day hit my truck in the parking lot and left me to find the dent later it later (I hope it screwed up his car). it's a 84 150 and he hit me right in the front corner. the dent isn't horrible but im planning on painting it soon and i want the dent (the guy who had it before me babied the truck so there are no other dents) out so i can do the painting. if it was anywhere else on the body i could fix it no porblem but im not sure how to go at it when it's on a corner like that. any ideas?
Replacing the fender is inexpensive... LMC has them as does a1-auto (they are on ebay, and really inexpensive).
Another option is a junkyard fender.
And another is to remove the fender, and hammer it out with a body hammer and a dolly. Whap, whap, whap and it's done. If it doesn't come out perfect, skim the minimal crease with body filler, sand, prime and paint.
