I have 2016 DRW in the signature. Apparently this truck did not come equipped from factor with TPMS.
Would like to have TPMS that monitors truck and trailer tires (5th wheel two axel)
Any Recommendations?
I have one of these and it works nicely. It only came with 4 sensors, but you can add over a dozen more. This one has the sensor to replace the valve stem cap and measures temp also. They also have a valve stem replacement sensor. My truck has tpms so I only monitor my 5th wheel, but I can also put them on any other trailer. It does take 1-5 minutes for it to recognize and display the values.
I have been running the TST507. A fantastic system that has good enough range on the flow through sensors that I dont even use the repeater. I picked mine up on fleabay years ago used and it still works great.
The TST TPMS has a system that mounts inside the wheel-tire assembly. For a DRW with the often floppy and long tire valve stems, this would be a good choice. I'm not familiar with what Ford did with their DRW trucks, but surprised that you don't have a TPMS system as OE. Is it that the batteries are shot? or is it just not there? I had to replace the sensors on my truck last fall when after 10 years the batteries dies.
