Howdy folks,
Got me a problem I need some help with. I'm working on my 1995 F350 xlt with the 7.3 turbo diesel. I have a fuel leak coming from a sensor looking thing on the back of the fuel bowl just above the mechanical fuel pump. I can't seem to find anything saying what that piece is so I can't find a replacement part. What is that part called?
It looks like a vaccum line or small spark plug going into the fuel bowl directly above the mechanical fuel pump. It's leaking just aft of the bowl. Anyone got a diagram of the back of the bowl? Or know what I'm talking about?
EDIT:
I may have figured it out. Would this happen to be the fuel filter restriction sensor?
Correct, fuel restriction sensor. It is 1/8"NPT thread. I replaced my sensor with a brass plug, works fine.
Was surprised out how much of a drip can come out of that sensor.
