I thought my previous 6.7s you could skip the engine preheat function? Maybe my memory going bad anyone know on a push button 2021 if you can skip the preheat?
Pushing the "START" button is just your suggestion to the PCM that you'd like to start the engine. If it agrees with everything, to include the glow plug heat, then it will crank. You can't skip anything since, again, the computer controls what happens and when.
I’m sure on my previous 6.7s you could skip it I can remember how though, my dodge you just hit the start button a second time, was thinking previous fords you held the start button down longer.

Is there even enough time on your 2021 to do something that skips the glow plug warm up? When it was 20 below I could probably count to 2 for my 2020 to start. Above 10 it is just about instant.
This 2021 must have a nanny level setting for the glow plugs heating, my previous ones started instantly this one today for example was 50F and it went into delay before it started.

That is kinda strange. The lowest temps my truck has seen have been 20's a couple times, if there was a delay it was so brief that I didn't even notice it. Started in the 40's and 50's many many times without any delay.
How long is the delay you are experiencing to make you actually want to skip it?

If it’s actually taking a long time; maybe an issue and that’s a maybe as my ‘21 is pretty much instant and has been between 35-50F since I picked it up in December. Coldest was 25F and maybe 2sec delay and that was remote start which is a slight delayed anyhow.
So again, why are you looking to do this? As was said above, if your truck is taking longer than a second or two to start, then something is likely wrong with it, and you should maybe have it looked at. I'm just really curious why you would want to do this.
