I have the factory remote start on my Lariat diesel, and when I auto start it doesn't seem to cycle the glow plugs or said to start. It will just fire it right up, even after sitting all night when it's 10 degrees out.
also It doesn't seem to wait to start when you start it from within the truck as well..
Interesting Mine has a short delay, just a few seconds. My temps have been in the 60's
Maybe a slight delay with remote start but not much of a delay with the key. Should see the glow plug on the dash when starting in the cold. It will flash briefly. At least it's like that on my 2013.

Same experience. When behind the wheel I get a 'pending start' message with the glow plug symbol -- just a few seconds. When remote start it seems to have the same delay, but since it's only a few seconds it's had to know.
