If you have one of these and the diameters match up, maybe use a dremel and cut some keyway slots in the bolt head and .give it a try. If not, try the same idea with slots and a short piece of flat bar and grab and turn it with vise grips, kinda like a homemade screwdriver.
The space looks too tight to just grab it with vise grips alone.
Once they are stripped...proceed carefully. That is not a great area to have to work in, obviously not a lot of room. X2 on Dremel cut a giant flat tip screwdriver slit in the head. But only about 1/2 as deep as the entire head thickness. And use lots of PB plaster and maybe some careful heat and cool cycles to the head. Yes also if applying heat right there to be careful with the plastic cover. Or worse case take a junk allen key and hammer it in and weld that in there and then remove the stubborn bolt. Once out, chop saw off the welded on part (of the allen key) and then do it again. Make sense?
If the new seals cause you to feel like you are slamming the doors, just roll the window down a bit or open a wing before closing, That should work until the new seals get seated and flattened a bit. Side note since you are slicking it up on the inside what about getting a set of the seat hinge chrome covers. They make re-pops. https://shop.broncograveyard.com/73-...uctinfo/27518/ https://shop.broncograveyard.com/73-...uctinfo/27519/
I was able to find the trans shifter bezel but not the transfer case one at the junkyard today. I couldn’t remember which one you needed so I got it. Looks like I guessed wrong haha.
thank you!
I have both now and an extra shifter bezel if anyone needs one
