I’ve been looking around for a brake line kit for my ‘74 F-250 4x4 crewcab. It has power brakes and drums at all 4 corners. I know I won’t be able to get a crewcab specific kit because I’m sure the market is too small. However, I can’t even find a kit for a ‘73-‘75 F-250 4x4 regular cab. It seems that everyone makes them for the ‘76 and up trucks (disc brakes up front).
Does anyone know of a kit for ‘73-‘75? Can I get away with the ‘76 and up? Here is a listing from Inline Tube for their ‘76 kit.
i got my Entire SS brake lines from inline tube and fit was spot on. No issues at all.
i got the entire kit from master cylinder to caliper/drums. Even the drop lines to Axles from inline tube.
Perfect.
78 4X4 Short bed.
Unless you can find a kit specifically for your model or someone chimes in that found a kit that works on the same truck you have, I would not purchase the 76-79 kit above in hopes it will adapt to your truck. There's a good possibility that more of it won't work that will work. You could try calling Inline Tube with your application and see what they say. If they have the pattern specs maybe they can make it for you.
Otherwise I'd just buy premade lengths of brake line and fittings and make your own......or if you have access to a double flaring tool buy the line in a roll and custom make your own. Yes more work but much less expensive.
You could order the rear brake kit, they should all be interchangeable, but you'll probably have to make the front lines. I think you can send your lines to some of these companies and they'll make patterns off of them if they don't have it already.
