Definitely not poppets I had that issue on another truck and it would not start hot. This truck starts hot fine. IPW is 3.72 ms.
Might be the upper O ring but no oil is in the fuel. Not a drop. I have no oil consumption either. Maybe the oil rail drain plugs?
I am far from an expert but I read here a good bit and I think that could be part of your problem.
Cody test could verify o-rings and the system is sealed. I had a leak so small it took a stethoscope to track it down during the test, but a leak that small at 120# likely a gusher at 3k. Fuel side issues can present as hpo problem, not sure that's what you have going on just putting it out there. Or the pump is showing some ware, doesn't seem likely but things do happen.
I was driving to work this morning and my IPR % started shooting to the moon as I was casually driving.
Tried dropping down a tune and it did not help. I had to give it gas to make it to the shoulder where it immediately died as I let off the throttle.
Truck did not restart when hot.
Going to diagnose the issue but I'm starting to lean towards the IPR being bad as I had this exact same scenario happen 3 years ago.
I have a used 230,000 mile ipr that was working fine when pulled from a customers truck for hpop work and a new one went in as preventative work. I can send it your way for diagnosing use if you desire.

Thank you for your generosity, fortunately I was able to warranty mine out with Ford, no questions asked.
