But seriously, you have to have the truck running and mash the brake before it throws power to the plug? With all the chicken talk, I never really heard confirmation of how you power this circuit? Thanks guys.

Yes, you have to have the engine running and then press the brake pedal before the truck will energize the 12v charge circuit. Some owners have reported that the driver's door must also be closed.

Thanks for the quick response. I use that power plug to energize a water pump on a bulk tank when my fresh water tank in my camper is low....
