CHROME PAINT

Any one used chrome paint ? what where the results ?

The "chrome" paint I have used just looks like shiny silver. not sure of the brand name.

There are quite a few discussions about chrome paint on the HAMB board. One guy in South America was experimenting one his own concoction to spray silvering on metal and plastic parts. He was using the same chemicals used to make mirrors. It seemed to hold up for a while but not long. The problem with the chrome type paints that look close to real chrome is they will deteriorate with not coated with a clear but once coated they loose the shine. So far I haven't seen anything that comes close to real chrome plating.

I’ve used a rattle can chrome paint a few times. Like @abe said, it’s a shiny silver paint, a bit more metallic looking than a regular silver.

For interior parts and small exterior stuff like emblems I use this https://alsacorp.com/product/killer-chrome/ have also had good results with https://www.culturehustleusa.com/pro...kaAvcfEALw_wcB its just very expensive stuff. To keep the shine it does need a 2k topcoat like the spray max

The Mobsteel crew used this stuff on an 1953 Packard Clipper grille and trim.
