I just put in a used tranny from a guy pulling it from a truck with a blown head gasket ( Same year and everything). I put it in, hooked everything up and she drive beautifully until after about an hour of driving now it’s like its in some sort of limp mode, seems like 3rd gear is the only gear I have and it idles high (roughly 850 RPM) and it’s giving me two DTC codes: ( P0657, P0718 ) and can’t seem to figure out why. Any ideas?
Did you have the valve body calibration updated to match the new unit? The calibration number is on a sticker on the case and that calibration needs to be updated or else you will have issues.
There is no valve body calibration that has to be matched to anything.
If it is doing what you said, there are more codes. Those codes will not cause the symptoms you have. Get a better code reader. Forscan is an excellent choice.
