Need some help
83 F150 351w c6 just recently changed the transmission fluid and I just put 7 quarts of trans fluid back in it, but when I start it up it makes a really loud clanking noise and won’t take off unless I push it full throttle.

Did you change the filter? Maybe it's fallen off in the pan.

7 quarts is too much if you just dropped the pan on the transmission. It's not enough if you drained the torque converter.

Did you check the dip stick?
I thought a C6 took more like 12 qts

I didn’t drain the converter.

I didn’t change the filter bc the trans itself is done for.

Just tried to start it and I think the starter got stuck to the flywheel, what wonders

That's completely drained, like when you take the drain out of the torque converter. Usually just dropping the pan, it only takes around 4 quarts.
