C6 fluid capacity
How tall is your C6's oil pan. The std. pan that is about 1 - 1 1/2 inches tall will allow about 13 quarts if the torque converter is drained. If you have a deep-sump pan, auxilary coolers, an external filter, etc. expect more capacity. Your best bet would be to add about 8 quarts; start the engine; check, add, go through all the gears, check, add, test drive a few miles, check and add as necessary.
Expect to burn-up a full case+. The last time I changed the oil, I purchased ATF by a 5 gallon pail and used a hand pump. The money I saved in buying a pail over individual quarts paid for the pump.
