mmm, not to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think that will get us much credit guys. (the gay thing) The pig pen is one of the most acceptible forums we have and they won't even tolerate it there. I know (obviously) you were just joking, but just a thought...just a thought. Please don't hate me.

Hey tom... you didnt do too much research into those tachs huh?
If you have a 99 to present f-150, it wont work. At least on the 10 dollar more tach.

Check this out... http://www.actron.com/cgi-bin/web_st...=3317260_15868

Hm, I thought you just needed the DIS tach adapter, similar to the ones used for the MSD Ignitions.

None of that matters anymore!

Because they have THIS: http://www.gtechpro.com/index.html#

And it's worth every penny, even if you have to take a night job at Wallmart to get it.

I'm ordering mine right now.

Ok... these are the tachs i have found...

http://store.summitracing.com/produc...earchtype=ecat
Summit's price is $98.95

http://www.rjays.com/Gauges/automete...r-black-01.htm
Rjay's is $92.15

The product codes are 1497 for the red arrow, and 1494 for the white.

Then i found a steering column pod for $32.95 here.
http://www.ford-trucks.racenet.net/gauges.php
Product code is 15005 for manual or 15004 for auto.

Kinda pricey but i think it would look good.

Ahhh,

The one on the steering column would sufice most peoples needs who don't have a tach stock with their truck. It's good enough for 32.00.

Nice researchage!

just the pod is 32 dollars. You have to buy the tach separate and the autometer tachs that fit in there are 92 bucks.

I wish they were cheaper.

Yeah, I'm disapointed too. I spoke with the programmer from GTech a few minutes ago and basically the thing doesn't really work.

It is so sensative that one little bump in the road or even a slight incline or decline will throw off all your numbers. He told me that. The are currently working on a way to fix it, but every thing I asked him there was basically a problem.

so I'm not going to waste my money on a really cool looking piece of junk.

That sucks Tom. I bet you the best spot for using that is exactly where you would also get a slip printed out....at the track. Heh.

well im dissapointed that it still costs 92 bucks for a tach that is 2 inches wide, without a shift light, without a redline. The only good thing about it is that it is electric.

Hey Garrett,

I accidentally stumbled upon this while researching colder plugs for my nitrous application. It's in regards to superchargers. Very very informative.

Good thing about tachs...well some of them anyways

You can set the shift light for whatever RPM you want to shift at below about 5200 RPMs as that is your redline. Also, they look nice are very simple to install. If you don't have a tach, this is a huge bonus if you like to race.

Bad side - price and availability. Also, finding out where you want to put it!
