Ehhh, you know how it is. Once you start modifying things, it can open a can of worms. I'll get this fixed eventually. But you know what I've decided? I'm NOT lowering my truck. Because I know that will just open another can of worms, like ball joints going bad, idler arms going bad and so forth. I just know it. It will work great for a while and then, boom, all kinds of stuff will start going wrong and I don't want to put up with it.
I'll just toss on a set of Edlebrock IAS shocks and be done with it.
I have no idea what else it could be, but I wouldn't have had a guess in the first place. haha. It sounds like you are takin the right approach though. Just stick it to Steeda, and get out to Houston or where ever we can meet up. Show us whatcha got!
Yea, for real Tom, what's your take on the Houston deal? Do you think you'd be interested? The 4 of us would basically meet there at the Bay Town drag strip. I could call and find out more info before we go and all. It would be beginning of Januarish...
I would love to, and can do the trip. I don't think it's too far for me and would be very scenic.
I have to fix this vibration problem first though, because I'm not driving all the way at 80mph. If Steeda says that the pinion gears are installed correctly, I will have no choice but to dish out another 500 bucks for an MMX drive shaft. I hope it doesn't come to that.
I'll have to get to mapquest and see how far of a drive it is. I'm in S. Fla and it takes me 6 hours just to get out of my state. So I'm going to check map quest and see.
Joe, give me a zip code for the race track so I can plug it into mapquest.
My directions are pretty simple. I get on 59 and go South all the way there. I don't know the zip code... Type in Rankin' Road Houston or Houston Raceway in google or something.
yeah, i already got the rough directions. see above.
Very scenic ride for me....lousy ride for Garrett.
Garrett, your in the military. Can't you load your truck onto a C-130 and have it parachuted out the back of the plane directly over the Houston Race track. That would be a really cool entrance, don't ya think??
Im not sure if I could get the C-130, BUT, if I could hae it lowered by an H-65 Helo, or trailered in by a humveee...that would be neat. The drive for me would be cool, cause i have family in LA, andin scottsdale, az. Either way, I just need some head time to be able to go. At least 3 weeks notice.
