Question Front Hubs Set to Auto = Open Front Diff?

Hi folks,

If the manual hubs are set to the Auto position instead of the Locked position, does the front end act like an open differential where power goes to the front tire that has less resistance, but locks the front wheels together when it senses slip?

Thanks!

Auto vs locked is just at the hubs. Unless someone’s been in the front it’s open so only one tire is gonna spin if it’s got no traction, the other will just sit there.
