recommend obd 2 tool

I new to this. A number of threads recommend getting your own obd2 reader/scanner. I got the dreaded Powertrain Malfunction wrench on my 2018 F150 5.0L. Googling obd reviews had this one come up as one of the few to get more info from Ford.

A basic ELM327 and Forscan Lite or Torque Pro are all you need. If you plan on doing Forscan changes then the MX will work for that with a PC also.

+1. I have a couple of OBD-> bluetooth adapters (one of them is the MX), and There are dozens of decent apps that work on an Android or IOS with different feature sets.

I'd say buy the MX and just get one of them. The price isn't bad and you'll only buy one time.
