Good morning MN.
I had torn the top end of the engine apart and have the new pistons and rings in it. Still need to put the Y pipe and exhaust on, antifreeze and adjust the track (changed that because had a bunch of studs pulling out and had quite a few miles on it) Hopefully I'll get that done and run it some to break it in today.
Top end work is easy Jim. If you can remove the engine from a Ford 500 without a lift, I have confidence you can rebuild a sled motor. LOL
Enjoy the weather while it lasts.
Good morning Cory.
I have almost 5000 miles on it since the swap LOL. My concern is that the ring ends are at the locating pin. I guess if they weren't then the cylinders wouldn't have gone down over them. I hope I gave enough ring end gap. spec from skidoo is .016-.020. I went with .017 that I had to file down and the ring I believe was at 0.018 without filing.
