I know why the compression is low, the locating pin in the ring land either wore down or moved and allowed the ring to walk and then the end caught the exhaust port and popped the lip on the cylinder there. That is what happened to the original piston at around 7600miles. this time it only made it around 2400. I may just run the damn thing until it stops running and deal with it then. I think the next sled will be a 4 stroke
Nothing too major on either of them. The guy with the 6.0 was complaining that randomly he would lose oil pressure according to the gauge on the dash. He was worried but I said I wouldn't be too worried since these trucks would shut off with no oil pressure. I replaced the oil pressure sensor and checked over his wiring. Hopefully its all good now. The 6.7 truck isn't even motor related. His heated mirrors don't work. I think there is a broken wire somewhere so trying to trace wires to find the issue.
Back to work after a loooong 4 day weekend. Blah! We picked up a project too Troy. Mason found a couple John Deere sleds (1972 John Deere 400) and wants to restore them. So we picked them up and shoved them into the garage. Now it is really FULL! I am trying to keep from tinkering on them as I want him to learn but it is tough. Story is they were owned by an old farmer. He bought them new and his barn caught fire. The last things yanked from the barn were the sleds and then the roof collapsed. I guess they deserve to live on. One has 3k and the other 4k miles. So Mason will be the second owner of two John Deere 400 sleds. Kinda cool.

Howdy Cory! That is pretty cool to be the second owner. Sounds like you need a bigger shed and or shop. I will have a chat with Des this weekend and mention that to her.
