I hope to be able to take off the intake plenum this week. Anyone taken the plenum off? I have 5 bolts and the Torx screw out. Not sure what else to remove. I have watched a few videos on older models. I am hoping they help. Also, any idea where the attached came from? I seem to remember it not being connected to anything just wondering how much time I need to spend trying to figure out if it was plugged in somewhere. I can splice it back in; but it’s pointless if it doesn’t have a purpose. I can just tape off the wires.
Yeah that is the EEC Test connector, best to get that wired back in.
The upper intake has 6 bolts.. one of which is a Torx, and the EGR tube connects between the lower and upper so it has to be disconnected as well. If the tube itself won't break loose from the valve disconnect the valve from the upper intake instead.
TB doesn't have to come off just the EGR. There is a gasket between the upper/lower that sticks pretty good, chances are it will be destroyed when you separate the two so get a replacement.
