Hello All, I own a 1995 Ford E-350 cutaway that we are currently converting to a motor home. When we started the bus up yesterday we noticed a noise coming from the front passengers area of the hood.
I decided to check the oil and it was a little low due to a small oil leak (that we are also working on identifying). So I topped her off but when we started her back up the noise was still there but sounds more central than to passengers side now. I’ll attach the video of anyone can help me identify
You could also try pulling the serpentine belt off from around the crank shaft pulley and start the van. That will tell you wither it is an internal or exterior problem. With the belt loose you can check the Smog pump, PS, WP, Alternator, Fan, and fan clutch.
Edit: Notice when the engine is revved, the noise almost goes away. That could be the fan blades flexing forward.
