Could this be lifter noise?
In the morning I hear a quick clicking/tapping maybe 10-15 times then it goes away. After the van has been sitting for 8 to 10 hours, (when I get off work) it does
not do it.
The noise does not show up any other time but in the morning. It is essentially sitting the same amount of time while at work and while not at work. Kinda odd.
I thought maybe that in the morning there is not as much outside noise so its louder but the last few days I have been paying sharp attention to it and I cannot hear this noise any other time.

Maybe the morning ambient temps are much lower than after work. I could imagine 50degree engine oil treating your engine differently than 75 degree oil.
Change to a heavier oil and see whata happens. Or rig up some kind of (safe) engine warmer.

Well It did not make the noise this morning or after work so maybe its something else. I am probably just paranoid, as my van is close to 230,000 miles, I freak out over every little noise I hear. LOL 
Lifter noise and a bad head gasket are the two things I am really worried about.......
