I have a 2017 Lariat F250 6.7 Fx4 and there is a constant typewriter noise coming from what sounds like the driver side under the hood. I have read other threads that talked about a similar noise right after oil changes and what not but my noise never goes away. Does anyone have any insight to this? Is it normal or should I get it looked at? I mean all i hear is the noise and I cant even enjoy the sound of the engine because of it. It is loudest when accelerating but is constant at highway speeds.
Thanks guys, any help or opinions are appreciated!
Watched a video the other day where the guy was describing a vibration noise and he finally figured out it was the oil dipstick vibrating causing the noise. Zip tied it to secure and no more noise, so I’d start there maybe.
I purchased the truck used and I didnt really notice it at first but now its all I hear. The noise never stops so it dosnt matter when I change my oil.

Well like you stated it usually shows up after an oil change which is why I asked. It also usually goes away after a while, for me it took almost 1000 miles the one time it happened.
Didnt you have another somewhat similar issue with this truck a while back? Seems I am remembering something from you folkes about this truck back then? Just checking.
That guy hasn't been on the forum since May 24, 2020, so if he's fixed it by now (or moved on to another truck) then it's highly unlikely you're going to get a response, LOL
