I am stumped on my issue and hoping someone on here could help. I have a 2011 F250 with 195k miles. Recently my transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd and then from 2nd to 1st VERY harsh. If I’m driving slow through a parking lot it can’t decide if it wants to be in 1st or 2nd so it jumps back and forth. If I’m driving slow I can hear a whining(almost sounds like off road tires driving down the highway). All other gears are completely normal. Hope someone on here can help! Thank you!
a big GUESS says maybe its some trash in the pan, a bad solenoid, bad tune, transmissions are like Kryptonite for me, seems in my history when I have transmission problems they never go away, never, usually the notification to sell and buy something else.
Although I bought my son an S10 blazer, did what your describing and the guy up the street who does tranny's said to change the one solenoid, did it and it was great up until the day we sold it.
i have about 200k on my 6.7 as well. had similar symptoms and chalked it up to the tow mode. recently drained, refilled, and cleaned the pan out. seems to be better
