Transmission shift question
This may not be a big deal just seems a little worse than when new. In the mornings when i take off in my truck it shifts from 1st to 2nd perfect but then from 2nd to 3rd it feels much different. Basically what it does is try to shift but its almost like a two stage shift. You feel it try to shift then has a slight clunk sensation when it finally goes in. It takes about a half second to complete this two stage sensation. No other shifts do this. This also occurs using Spartan or going back to stock. Anyone experience this or know what could be causing this?

i dont know about the 08's but with my 05 6.0, it did that with my SCT SF3 on it, i would let it howl through the 1st 3 gears cause it was a rush but then developed that bump then bang into gears then it would eventually slip. i went through 2 trannies in that truck and i blamed it on the SCT i dont think there was enough line pressure pumping and would burn up the clutches.
just what ive seen.. but man that 6.0 went like a raped ape and did it ever sound good with magnaflow dual exhaust

When my truck was new, at 600 miles I had the clunk from 2nd to 3rd. Happened intermittenly. Eventually it threw the truck into limp mode and I also had the wrench light. Mine felt more like I ran over a chuck hole or something.

I don't really feel anything bad or rough. Its more like it tries to start shifting like trying to slide in then it does a slight clunk and locks into gear. It only does this once and almost completely goes away as I drive the truck.
