thing is you could buy a Clone Raycor on FleaBay for less than 30 bux and you can get Real Raycor elements for replacements pretty cheap (or other name brand elements)
the OEM ford filter is 14 micron so you can change that out to a WIX and have a choice to go as low as 2 micron (a 7 or 8 micron is fine for the DB2 Pump)
Stanadyne Specs less than 10 micron for secondary/Final filter
on the Pre-filter 30 micron is fine... I wouldn't go lower than 20 micron.

I just looked and WOW those clones are cheap! Think I'll order one for each truck!
I mean serious why pay 3or 400 bux for one when the clones work fine and use the same replacement element
Lets all buy into the new Green Deal NOT... (we cannot get political here in this forum) so not for me to judge ... I just offer an alternative that us poor folks might can afford
it's your choice. and your truck to do as you will
I was actually wondering if moving a supplementary fuel filter to a tool box in the bed would have a negative effect. A gearhead friend of mine mentioned it might be a place for air to collect if I mount it higher than the OE filter and schraeder valve. Of course you would have to drill a hole in the bed of the truck and the toolbox. It probably wouldn't be ideal for a trailer queen (if there are any that are IDI Bullnoses) or a work truck. For a pavement princess though...
