I personally use the Warn Standard hubs. I couldn't justify spending 40 dollars more for a metal **** vice a plastic one. It cost me roughly 86 dollars for the Standard hubs. Add 18 dollars for a set of snap ring pliers and some axle grease to do the conversion, and I still came out less than the Premiums cost. Over here in San Diego about 130 dollars. The plastic **** is pretty thick. I can see it getting brittle over time, but that is at least a few years away. Just keep fresh grease on them every now and then and they (either premium or stanard) will last a very long time.
My WARN standards have been on since the truck was 5 years old everything is still in perfect working order and condition...plastic ***** and all! IF they do ever wear out I will more than likely replace them with Premiums because I prefer the 3/4 turn design over the 1/4 design.
My F250 still has the factory hubs, which are none other than Warn Standards with a red plastic dial...
For my 81 F100, I got some Premiums, the 9/10 turn engagement is more to my liking than the 1/4 turn(plus, the 1/4 turn hubs are near impossible to turn when it's -40....)

Hubs are cheap - use them like a fuse.
I look for weak hubs. A broken hub is like a fuse in a circuit.
If I'm stressing the drivetrain to the point that standard Warn
hubs break, let them break.
It's cheaper to buy another pair of hubs (and now you have a
spare for next time!)
Hubs are cheaper than axles, diffs, etc.
Easier to replace than U-Joints, and less risk of secondary damage.
