Build your own harness......... Hard wire from the Glow plug relay straight to the glow plugs. Do not go through any of the factory connectors.
Go to a push button on the dash to heat the plugs... Zero degrees, 6 seconds warm up and it fires right off.
$180 Bucks??? Yikes!
There is a thread about using the 6.0 GP harness. I bought 2 last year,
(still in the bag they came in) for around $20 Bucks or so.
I see some now in the $17 - $20 something price range.
I just went to a local junk yard, found an 7.3 IDI in the yard, and snagged the wire harness. Harness was in pretty good condition and I ended up using these connections to replace the old ones. https://www.accuratediesel.com/ford-...-set-of-8.html
You can do the same thing I did or you can get new wires and build one yourself. I just so happen to have lucked out on that harness.
