Non Factory Speed Sensor Disable

Hi guys, new member here. Appreciate all the knowledge you guys share. I have a 2016 F-250 with the 6.2 L motor. Must have been a fleet vehicle, because it has a speed sensor set at 75 miles per hour. Do you guys know how to disable that? The dealer I bought it from mentioned possibly needing two admin keys to reset the sensor? Any help would be much appreciated! 75 miles per hour is just too slow on the inter state for me! Thanks in advance!

Did you get two keys with your truck?

Did the dealer say the speed was limited due to MyKey settings?

Have you checked to see if your current key is an admin key? If it is not an admin key, you will need to get a second key and then have the PATS re-porgrammed for both keys. This might also remove any MyKey settings. Your second key can be a standard 80 bit chip key. It does not need to be an IKT (integrated fob and key style key).

Your owner's manual will give you info on MyKey. If you do not have an owner's manual, you can download one here...

I only have one key. I read up on the manual. When I did a system check it said 0 MyKeys programmed, 2 Admin keys programmed. After fiddling with it, it now says one of each is programmed, the speed limit is still set and there is now no way to change it. I'm guessing I do not have an Admin key. I'll have to work on that, thanks!

If it's a MyKey limit, it will ding and display at 70 MPH that you are near the limit. It will ding and display again when you hit the limit.

We had factory and aftermaket limits on trucks where I used to work. No ding, no display, you just couldn't go any faster.

No ding, no display. It seemed to be set at 78, going by the speedometer, but the speedometer on my phones GPS says I never go over 75. I think the speedometer is off.

When I was messing with it I came to "Speed Limit [80MPH] Off". I highlighted "Off". That seemed to program the MyKey, but it didn't solve the problem.
