Thanks guys. Wasn’t really looking to start a debate or get questioned. I absolutely loved my 250. Pulled the big trailer often in some fairly steep grades (Smokies) and it never missed a beat. That photo was taken when I bought the trailer. I felt it sagged too much so I put Hellwig 3500lb helpers on. It fixed the sag.
im 100% honestly unsure when or how my front I joint, axle, diff broke. It was going to be taken care of under warranty and I probably would’ve kept the truck if I didn’t have a camping trip planned for the weekend (found the u joint on a Tuesday) so what the hell....lariat ultimate dually it was!!!
I LOVE the 10 speed vs the 6. LOVE the dual zone AC (wife), love the integrated 5th wheel pucks, LOVE star white. The only think I question now is the brakes. I feel my 250 had ALOT better braking. I’m assuming it’s just because the same brakes but a heavier truck...hmm maybe I should’ve spent the extra $10k on the star white platinum 450?
Cool truck, like the white!
Super long 5er as well, nice! You certainly have a great combo there.
Don't be put off here, sometimes the mud is deep, as they say.
I started with a 99 F250 with the anemic 5.4. Moved to a 2003 6.0 . It lasted 119 k before it had to be cracked open for studs, gaskets, water pump, the full monty. Next up a 2016 6.7 . Knew that was a winner when it would idle our 10k TT out of the storage area in tow mode.
I'm having a custom build done now, 40 feet long 5er, should be about 16k. Bought a 21 F350 to lead the way on that thing. I think it will do well.
The new 10 speed is sweet so far, But the F3fiddy does not turn anywhere near as sharp. It is taking me a bit to adjust to that, and the wide rear (my first dually).
