Battery failure

I have had my truck checked out, but occasionally I need to boost my truck for no reason. It will start, then I could drive to the store and when I come out it needs to be boosted. I have spoke to other F150 owners and they have had the same problem, with no results from ford. has anyone else had this issue and have you found what will fix it.

What year truck do you have? And what model and engine and transmission?

Have you tried cleaning all the connections: battery terminals, engine block grounds, starter terminals?

The battery could be fine and the starter is just overheating.

Drive it around to get it good and hot, uphill and the like if you can, then back to your house shut it down and see if it will crank. If not let it sit for 30-45 min and if it cranks your starter is getting too hot.
Do you have aftermarket headers on it?

another thing to consider.
a lot of small trips drain a battery.
the battery needs 15 miles or so to properly replace the power required to start the vehicle.
2 miles to work, and 2 miles home every day drains the battery to the point one of these days it will not start.
same with large loads.
i had to put a 250 amp alternator on my 02 diesel to keep the batteries charged when plowing.
all my trucks have oversized alternators to compensate for the large load on the batteries when plowing.

The OP hasn't come back. Being that he has a 2016 F150 his issue is going to be BMS related and probably because the battery is past the days in use of the BMS and needs to be replaced.
