Awhile back, I installed LED lamps on the truck. Big difference at night. In inclement weather, other drivers see my vehicle better. Something to consider if anyone else's driving an older vehicle.
It was a rough one today. I had to Smokie to sleep this morning. He had again gotten to the point where he couldn't pee. He was a great dog and a helluva sidekick. R.I.P. Smokes.

No fancy photo edit software. Just what my phone could do to blur the plate.
It's an 07. Probably built in 2006, waiting for a buyer. And it's not that great. Basic package with vinyl seats, roll up & down window cranks, manual door locks, and it came with an AM only radio. Least expensive truck on the lot for basic transportation, Being frugal, I kind of lucked out. It only has the small V6 engine. 4.2 liters. Which spared me all the headaches of the modular V8 engines. Apparently, V8 engines had a lot of maintenance issues. Nothing that anyone could have foreseen when they bought the truck.
I think in 2006, the V8 option was the 5.4L, or maybe the 4.6L. Neither of those were barn burners. The V6 may have been a better option back then. I'm not sure when they started putting the 5.0L in the F150.
4.6 & 5.4 were both offered until probably the 20-teens. When I bought, with a down economy and sky high fuel, trucks were not selling, and there were a lot of dealer incentives and rebates. I saved a significant amount for buying the smaller engine. Fact is, I don't need a big engine. I don't haul a lot of weight. A few years ago, I bought a Transit Connect with a 2.5L 4 cylinder, and it's fine for me. Actually, better than I thought. It's like a Focus, with 7 seats. And I can fold the seats down for cargo, which stays dry in the rain.
Truck is still in the shop. I called yesterday, and he said he had to drop the gas tank to see how bad the fuel filler tube is. He also told me he is not charging me for the labor to drop the tank. Hopefully, he will be able to give me a final price for everything today.

USA. Citizens are suppose to be able to resist government tyranny and oppression. But at which point, is the line drawn? Opinions vary. Patriots? Traitors? Rebels? Treason? I don't have to declare my personal politics. I am still free. Meaning that I didn't get arrested at the Capitol.

But if this country becomes less than desirable to live in......I will relocate to an Island. Less Covid. Kingdom with a Royal Family not as complicated as allowing common people the right to vote. I could open a Robinhood account, and day trade on my phone. My golden years in the paradise of a Samoan brothel.
