i rebuild my 400 with aussie heads and tim piston for the aussies heads.i also install a retro fit kit from crane cam to accept 460 roller rocker. when i install the double row timing set with the -4°, 0°,+4°. i set it up straight a 0°. my question is did the timing mark are still good on the harmonic balancer? from the factory my 1979 400 had a retard 4° timing chain set up.

The camshaft phasing will not change the TDC indication on the balancer no matter where it is installed - straight up, advanced, etc. Don't worry about that. However, it would be wise to employ a degree wheel or, some other method of positively verifying that the camshaft is truly where you want it, in terms of valve timing.
